Wadsley Bridge, Sheffield, South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, England, S6 1NR, United Kingdom

Wadsley Bridge is a Sheffield suburb located northwest of the city centre. The neighbourhood has a mix of residential homes and minor industrial and commercial properties. Wadsley Bridge began to grow in the 18th century, when water power was harnessed and many mills were established on Clay Wheels Lane and at the foot of Leppings Lane on the River Don. Wadsley Bridge is still growing; the Kilner Way retail park, built on the site of an old brickworks and sandstone quarry, opened in the 1970s. It was completely renovated in 2008, with the old buildings demolished and eight new large retail spaces created for retailers such as Halfords and Matalan.
