Matlock is the county town of Derbyshire in the United Kingdom. It is located in the Peak District’s southeastern corner, with the National Park to the west. The town has a sister city relationship with the French town of Eaubonne. Matlock Bath, a former spa resort, is located on the A6 just south of the town. Matlock Live, an annual arts event that began in June or July of each year, features local singers, dancers, artists, and so on. Matlock Live invites buskers and other street performers to establish a busking trail across Matlock as part of the summer event to raise money for the charity Aquabox. Highfields School hosts a series of public concerts by Matlock Music. A monthly storytelling event at the Imperial Rooms is also well-represented.
