Low Bradfield, Sheffield, South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, England, S6 6LB, United Kingdom
Low Bradfield is a village in Bradfield civil parish. It is located within the city limits of Sheffield in the upper Loxley Valley, west-northwest of the city centre, and close inside the Peak District National Park’s northeast boundary. Low Bradfield and the surrounding area are known for their beautiful scenery, which draws many visitors from Sheffield’s more urban areas. On weekends, especially when there is a match on the local cricket pitch, the community can become fairly crowded. An early to mid-Bronze Age ring cairn on Broomhead Moors, three miles northwest of Low Bradfield, is the earliest recorded trace of settlement in the Bradfield area. This is thought to be a 4,000-year-old ceremonial or burial place.
