It covers numerous Sheffield districts in the city’s south-west, stretching roughly from Heeley Bridge in the district of Heeley to Dore Road between Beauchief and Totley. It was called after the Beauchief Abbey, which existed from the 12th century to 1537. Although Abbeydale is not an official district name, it is used by numerous businesses and institutions in the valley.
