Millhouses is located in the city’s southwest corner, on the northwest side of the river Sheaf. Its roots may be traced back to a small village that built up around the Ecclesall Corn Mill. This area’s agricultural and businesses are mostly gone, leaving Millhouses as a predominantly residential district. There are three schools, a park, three bars, three supermarkets, three churches, and numerous small shops nearby. The park is located between Abbeydale Road South and the River Sheaf and features a variety of green spaces, landscaped areas, and recreational facilities. Tennis courts, a boating lake, and a gourmet cafe are among the amenities.
