Carbrook, Sheffield, South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, England, S9 2EJ, United Kingdom
Carbrook is a Sheffield industrial district located to the south-east of Brightside. The Carr Brook, which ran through the area until the late eighteenth century, inspired the name of the suburb. Carbrook borders Tinsley, a former industrial community, and has kept a few older structures, including the Sheffield Bus Museum, ancient Carbrook Hall, stone-built Carbrook School, and steelworks Tinsley Wire. Carbrook has been regularly redeveloped since the mid-1990s, with a number of well-known enterprises drawn to the handy position within a mile of the M1 motorway at junction 34. Carbrook now has a 20-screen cinema, a retail park, the Sheffield Arena, and the Don Valley Stadium, a significant concert and sports arena.
