Gleadless Map

Gleadless is a Sheffield suburb and parish located five kilometres southeast of the city centre. It is bounded to the west by the bordering suburbs of Gleadless Valley (into whose ward the population falls), Frecheville to the east, and Intake to the north. The Grade II-listed Commonside Farmhouse is located right off Gleadless Common. The structure was initially a pair of cottages before being rebuilt into a farmhouse circa 1800. In recent years, the building has been completely renovated, with a new roof, windows, and doors, and has been merged into Commonside Croft, a new small housing development. Christ Church on Hollinsend Road is also grade II listed; it was built in 1839 and has a three-stage tower; the interior has a serve as a meeting space.
