Brightholmlee, Bradfield, Wharncliffe Side, Sheffield, South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, England, S35 0DB, United Kingdom
Brightholmlee is a tiny rural hamlet located inside Sheffield. The hamlet is located in the City’s Stannington Ward. It is located 10 kilometres north of the city centre. It was formerly a farming community with four farmsteads: Manor Farm, Old Hall Farm, High Lea Farm, and Lee Farm. The last working farm was sold for development in 2013, and the area is now virtually exclusively residential. The hamlet is divided in two by Townfield Road, an old packhorse route that comes up from the south and continues towards Bolsterstone. It is often assumed that the houses on the uphill side of the track are several hundred years older than those on the downhill side. High Lea Farm and Old Hall Farm, both of which originate from the 17th century, are the hamlet’s oldest structures.
