Loxley Map

Loxley, Bradfield, Sheffield, South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, England, S6 6QZ, United Kingdom

Loxley is both a village and a suburb of Sheffield. It is a long linear community that spans along the Loxley River. Loxley does not have a large shopping district, so most inhabitants commute to Hillsborough to shop. The Admiral Rodney is the most well-known of three public houses in the neighborhood. Loxley has a recreation area on Loxley Road near the intersection with Long Lane; it is the suburb’s sole significant public open space. Just to the north, however, is Loxley Common, an old stretch of common ground that is currently owned and administered by Sheffield City Council on behalf of the city’s residents. The common is made of heath ground with scattered trees.
