Gleadless Valley, Hemsworth, Sheffield, South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, England, United Kingdom
Gleadless Valley is a housing estate and electoral ward in the English city of Sheffield. It was an isolated ancient wood with some farms prior to the mid-nineteenth century. Gleadless Valley was once home to six pubs: The Cutlers Arms, The Bagshawe Arms, The John O’Gaunt, The Horse and Groom, The Wyvern, and The Far Lees. However, in recent years, the Cutlers Arms has been transformed into the Cutlers Spice, a Bangladeshi restaurant, while the Far Lees has been transformed into a Best-One convenience store. Herdings Park is the only public recreation space in the neighbourhood, and it has two football fields, a bowling green, a children’s playground, and open grassland.
