Loxley Common Map – Peak District

Location: 53.4120958, -1.5356515

Loxley Common is a lowland heath and woodland area on the outskirts of Sheffield, popular with walkers, dog owners, and mountain bikers. Though not a peak in the traditional sense, its elevated position offers views over the Loxley and Rivelin valleys. The area has historical significance due to past quarrying and World War II training grounds. With its mix of heather, pines, and open glades, it’s a valuable green space near the edge of the Peak District boundary.
